Women’s Ministry

Our Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s (CPW) Ministry meets monthly and women of all ages are invited to attend.

Purpose Statement: To accept and share the love and joy of Jesus Christ through the ministry of women in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church as we pray, study God’s word, and reach out through mission, service, encouragement, and fellowship.

Women of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church
All women of the Church are considered members of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Ministry.  The Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Ministry is part of the Missions Ministry Team of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Women from across the denomination gather at the Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Convention once a year for the purpose of advancing the spiritual enrichment and effective operation of the local and regional organizations through fellowship, worship, learning, and program emphases.

Women of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church
The women of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church are an important branch of the ministry of our congregation.  Our regular meetings are set for the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

Our ministry includes:

  • Coordinate Easter and Thanksgiving baskets to shut-ins
  • Provide food to those who are sick
  • Provide food to families who have lost a loved one
  • Support the Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home in Denton, TX
  • Participate in the Least Coin Offering
  • Recognize CP Women and award Perpetual Memberships and Memorials
  • Provide an opportunity for women to gather for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship
  • Send representatives to our Regional Women’s Meeting twice a year
  • Participate in our Annual Denominational Women’s Convention
  • Support and promote the mission work of our denomination and our congregation
  • Participate in the Synodical Women’s Retreat
  • Support Joseph’s Storehouse
  • Support Guatemalan Mission and Clergy Appreciation
