CPW Supports Magdalene/Thistle Farms

The Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s (CPW) Group has Thistle Farms hand made natural bath and body products for sale during the entire month of April. All proceeds will go to support Magdalene/Thistle Farms. Magdalene is a residential program for women who have survived lives of prostitution, trafficking, addiction, and life on the street. This program provides services to Lebanon/Wilson County as well as surrounding areas.  Thistle Farms is the social enterprise that is run by the women of Magdalene. By hand, the women create natural bath and body products that are as good for the earth as they are for the body. Purchases of Thistle Farms products directly benefit the women by whom they were made.

The “Set them Free” Campaign is a multi-year focus for the Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Ministry. Set them Free is designed to:

  • Raise awareness of the reality of slavery in the 21st century.
  • Advocate for state and national laws against human trafficking in America as well as laws that are comprehensive and victim-centered.
  • Provide a way for people of faith to put words and prayers into action by raising funds to help stop human trafficking and provide hope and healing for victims.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these products during April, please call our Church Office for more information at (615) 444-7453.
